Saturday, June 19th: Food Preservation Activity

Hello SPROUTS!

I am so very excited about this Saturday's SPROUTS activity.
We will have Butler County Extension Agents join us and help us with a food preservation activity.

With berry season upon us, we will learn a way to dry wonder strawberries and make them into Fruit Leathers (much like a more natural version of a Fruit Roll-Up).

Once you make your Strawberry Fruit Leather, you'll place it in the food dehydrator and next Saturday, June 26th come to the SPROUT House and taste the fruits of your labor.

I look forward to seeing y'all on Saturday for this fun and educational experience!

P.S.
****Mark you calenders for Saturday, July 3rd Bicentennial Parade! SPROUTS will be joining the parade and we would love to have as many of y'all join us. On Saturday, June 26th at the Market we will be decorating and creating materials for our parade theme: Passionate Pollinators".

  1. Passionate Pollinators! I love it. I wish that I could be on hand to help you make and celebrate. Also, what a good idea to make berry leathers! -kelly quinn
