SPROUTS Honey Bee Activities on Saturday, May 22nd

First of all I would like to give a big thank you to all the great help that one of the bigger Sprouts, Elijah has been giving to our program. He has been a big helping hand in getting the activities set-up. I want to give a big thank you to Val (another older Sprouts) for her help too last Saturday in setting up some of the food group activities!

This Saturday we will be exploring the wonderful world of honeybees.
While you shop do the "Honey Bee Hunt" and see how many hives and honeybees you can find. Don't forget to read as many fun bee facts as you can find around the market too!
You can also make a honeybee marionette puppet. See you soon!

SPROUTS Mother's Day Activities: Saturday, May 8th

Hello SPROUTS!

It was so good to meet many of you this past Saturday. Thanks for coming out on such a rainy day. When you stop by the SPROUT house on Saturday, test me on your names! The flags y'all decorated are creative and beautiful and you should bring your family and friends by to see it. For those of you that have not had a chance to decorate a SPROUTS flag, don't worry!
We will have them on Saturday if you would like to decorate one to add to our banner.

(Day before) Mother's Day at the Market:
This Saturday we are going to do activities to celebrate the people in our lives that help us grow. We will have some fun as we plant a vegetable sprouts for you to take home and give to your mom, grandma, or other special person in your life.

As you walk around the market with your family, look for these Lettuce and Beet signs posted on farmers' tent.

When you see one, please kindly help yourself to a plastic pot. Then bring the pot back to the SPROUT House to plant your lettuce or beet sprout in it.

You can also decorate a card to go with your vegetable sprout.
